woofing second birthday

Posted by jang at 9:17 PM
Just six posts after Logan's first birthday, here we are again celebrating his birthday!

His birthday may not be as bongga as last year (sans the birthday hats, lotsa cupcakes and a candle to wish to), it doesn't mean i love him less. The love and the fondness just keep growing!

Here's a short list of Logan's sweet-cray antics:
1.) He enjoys making balat  the buko. And while on the side cheering him up, his speed accelerates exponentially. Making pasikat of some sort.

2.) He's a lot stronger and faster than Summer (my other Labrador, a year younger than him). But when Summer tries to get his toy (a ball or anything they can grab), Logan willingly lets Summer have it.

3.) He's a great protector! Logan (or any other Lab i think), doesn't have a bad bone. I remember an instance when a Belgian Malinois was barking at us. I believe Logan was feeling my fright. And wham, Logan instantly barked back. Though he still was looking cute and malambing while trying to fight off with the Belgian.

4.) He's very behaved when it's his bath time. He raises his leg when i'm soaping him between his legs. He really has a mind of his own! Haha

5.) When he sees my dad carrying a pandesal, he would immediately be in his "down" or "sit" position. He begs like crazy! And he would never stop until my father waves his hand and says "No more!".

6.) He knows how to go up and down the tricycle. Sometimes, when we're having our walk at the plaza and he sees a tricycle parked, he would make sakay straight away. Uh-oh, we're not going home yet. Ha-ha

I can't enumerate everything in one blog post. Ha-ha Maybe some other time.

To end this birthday post, I pray i could spend more time with you - which means zero OTs, add more than just the sit-down-stay tricks, more gala at the plaza, more beach bumming and a lot more activities together with Summer. I thank God you're a lot healthier this year, no more dog-hospital-scare. Cheers to more years together!

Tailwaggin' Birthday for Logan

Posted by jang at 1:27 PM
November 10, 2012 - Even dogs celebrate their birthdays. Yes, it's Logan's first birthday. And to celebrate the love for my dog and the gift of him, i prepared a little "party" for him. Erm, just cupcakes for the party goers and nilagang baka for Logan. Haha Plus party hats, candle and pictures!

I pray we'll have more years, more walks and more beach party together! You don't know how much joy you bring into our lives. You don't know how you caught us amazed with your simple antics -  following me around wherever I go, how you eagerly sit when you want a pandesal, when you wag your tail, when you make tampo when your cage was delivered, when your ears flip when you run blah blah.  I love you, Logan! *wink*

Dear God,

I praise you and glorify  your Name! My mouth shall praise you with joy.

God, I want to thank you for the wonderful life you give me. It's worth celebrating!
Thank you for the beautiful and thoughtful friends you put into my life. They are worth-keeping!
Thank you for my loving family. You first taught me how to trust God. You're always in my prayers!
Thank you to my ever supportive and cool office mates! You're always a joy to have despite the haggard moments!
Thank you fir my ever kulit and beautiful dog, Logan. You're one great dog!
Thank you to Irving, for taking a leave on a Friday and Saturday to celebrate my birthday (despite the insistent calls from work, hehe).
Thank  you Lord for Britney, for the sweetest card I got on my birthday.
Thank you Lord for the food we stuffed in our tummies, the food that we eat and share together.
Thank  you Lord for guiding me through the highest highs and lowest lows of my life. I'm grateful even things are too difficult.
I thank you for everything you put into my life. I've always felt Your love because of them.

Amen.

Indulge your kiddie side.

Posted by jang at 7:26 PM

February 17, 2012 – Almost late in the afternoon, we noticed the dreary clouds that sprawled across the sky. Then immediately rain came pouring down generously and folks settled indoors. But hey, it wasn’t even adequate to put a halt to our merrymaking mood.

It all started as a whim – a childish whim to celebrate a Jollibee birthday party. Lo and behold, it came true just like any magical wishes in our favourite fairy tales. Bob, Elaine and Vincent all celebrated their birthdays in the month of February. So off we go to their oh-so-famed KIDDIE PARTY! All dressed as kids and donning our Jollibee party hats, everyone was all hyped up to be kids again. Like any other parties, we all say our prayers for the birthday celebrants as well thanking God for the loads of blessings.

Now, let the party begin! Yeah, who could ever forget to sing a jolly Happy Birthday song the kid way? Everyone was so into the kiddie mood and gamely sang in chorus. The celebrants were interviewed to which each of them lied about their real age. Ha-ha, must we getting really old? There was quite a lot of amusing games that kept our energy elevated. First game was the popular Status dance which me and Pinky won and grabbed the activity book and toys. More equally cool games ensue namely the blue-bubblegum-green-apple-yellow-dalandan, the choo-choo train and guess-that-Jollibee-food- and- character. Peal of laughter fill the place.

You would never trade these party hats for the world, right?

Meet Vincent, Elaine and Bob – the happy celebrants/sponsor of this party in their best ever kiddie wardrobe

Give it up for Pinky and Aethan boasting their scrummy and tasty Jollibee fries and spaghetti.

Ang Bida ng saya, Jollibee striking a charming pose for everyone. Dare to fall in love with this crazy mascot! Ha-ha He’ll drive you crazy too with his engaging moves.

Here’s Hetty swooning over the birthday boy, Vincent. He got her head over heels. How kilig can that be?

The whole party people. Happiness written all over our faces.

Jollibee played around with Sheng with much gusto. They were a sight to behold. Ha-ha

Channeling the big picture.

Indeed, we really had our greatest time with the Jollibee crew and friends. It was fun “wasting time”! It was raining still. But who cares? Our spirits were still up with delight! My hugest thanks to Elaine, Bob and Vince for inviting us. How about you, have you awaken the kid in you?

my silver bash

Posted by jang at 11:33 PM

April 28, 2010 - I say it is the most memorable birthday of my life. For the plain reason that I have SOMEONE to share it with. Yikes, cheesy. I thank the Lord for blessing me him and the relationship (awwww!). Plus my awesome friends way back in college, office and community. I feel so loved and blessed

My friends from the ALNP community really surprised me big time with these flowers. For all I knew, the meet-up for that day was for our sister Jeanne who is leaving Dole. I never knew. I was actually the one who bought the flowers for her. I never really expected that they will have a late birthday bash for me. I was so caught unprepared and all I could muster was "Thank you guys!". Very intelligent speech right?! ha ha

Pacman-cake. Our chekahan and kumustahan was fueled by this uber delicious cake. Sheng and Tayong dominated the "session" since they are more makulit than me and Irving.

Irving got me this cake. Yey. Thank you so much. Chocolate mousse I love! The cake ice cream from Goldilocks. It was even made more yummy because it's shared with truly wonderful people.

Attending the simple dinner at our house were Sheng, Tayong and Irving dear. We shared on the barbeque, grilled bangus, buko salad ans spaghetti. They are my happy pills both in office and my personal life. I love you all to bits!

"God, today, I thank everyone who has played any role in helping me in my life till today."
