Pizza, Anyone?

Posted by jang at 9:13 PM
i have admitted this a million times. yes, i am the hugest fan of pizza. well who doesn't love pizza, right? or if you don't, you must be missing a big thing in your life! Ha ha. topping my most favorite pizza is that of Sbarro's. Pricey but i swear you get your money's worth! Locally here in Gen San, we have Giacomino's, Shakey's, Pizza Hut, Greenwich, Mama Maria and Calda. But you can spot me at Calda than any other pizza parlor here. Their pizza is affordable but super yummy. (so i am craving again, now!).

just take this sneak peek of Calda's pizza...i'm sure you'll be drooling too!

this is my new favorite, ROMA! Sheng introduced this to me. I still love the best seller CALDA but ROMA has surpassed the yumminess of calda. HAHA

on this side. still looks mouth-watering...

And this is BFF Sheng and her signature pose plus her pizza...

And would you mind if i got my own pose too with the pizza? haha

Definitely, i am more of a pizza lover than Sheng. She ate only 1/4 of it and i gobbled up the rest.
Beat me next time, please!

will it do wonder?

Posted by jang at 6:39 PM
"i want to slim down!!!" this has been my loud cry since time immemorial. i used to be so thin because i was so sickly. however, starting age 10, my body had recuperated and started to accumulate fats. haha my boyfriend is also making lambing to me by calling me "tabaching". I'm not hurt or offended but i want to make a change - for myself. adding to the pressure is the GLAM party that is drawing near - as in so near! OMG. what to do? so with this predicament at hand, a solution (not instant though) has come my way. GENERAL MOTORS:WEIGHT LOSS DIET PROGRAM! Yah, it's like other programs we see over the net. But hey, my kumare has tried it. she lost 3 kilograms in just a week (which if completely followed, you'll lose approximately 7 kilograms).

So here's what should i do to achieve a sexier me:

During the first seven days you must abstain from all alcohol
You must drink 10 glasses of water each day.

Day One All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and a loupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing three lbs. on first day are very good.

Day Two All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the amount or type. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.

Day Three A mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet. No potatoes today.

Day Four Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. This will be combined with the special soup which may be eaten in limited quantities.

Day Five Today is feast day. You will eat beef and tomatoes. Eat two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. Hamburger is OK. Combine this with six whole tomatoes. On day five you must increase your water intake by one quart. This is to cleanse your system of the uric acid you will be producing.

Day Six Beef and vegetables. Today you may eat an unlimited amount of beef and vegetables. Eat to your hearts content.

Day Seven Today your food intake will consist of brown rice, fruit juices and all the vegetables you care to consume.

KAKAYANIN KO BA? Let's see. After all, it is a matter of discipline and hardwork.

the bests about morning saunters

Posted by jang at 8:05 PM
i have never taken seriously invites for a very long walk. not until two weeks ago. i have reconsidered the thought of walking. i winked at the pitfalls of exposing myself under the scorching heat of the mighty sun that would later drain all the strength in me and worst, emphasize my 'morena' color (and make me appear super itim!). ugh. i set aside the negative thought on walking and embraced the blessings that come with it.

1.) you get to bond with your friends in a very peculiar way! it was a bliss walking along with people you're close to - sharing thoughts both on serious and nonsensical matters.

there's sheng (who made gaya my pose, hehe), me and pinky posing along with the pineapples!

and in another walk, pinky, jowel and me along with the rising sun.

2.) it's also a bond with mother nature. it made me appreciate more the beauty our nature has exhibited. the pine trees, the lush of green, the perfect blue sky, the orange and yellow flowers - all of them seemed to have welcomed us walking (with our sweat on!). truly, this was an experience of nature's goodness!

the green pine trees in perfect harmony with the blue sky

still the blue sky with the gentle tree decorated with orange flowers

3.) what could be more rewarding is - tadaaah - the FOOD! gastronomic satisfaction, whatever it is, we gobbled up a lot of FOOD.

while we were walking, i thought of eating a classic spaghetti from the club. it, really, is my favorite! and i did order a plate. yummiest!

exercise plus nutritious fruits equal healthy body (never mind the carb in my pasta!, ha-ha)

and it's me! exhausted, yes, but it was all worth it. i'm loving this new experience. and i would certainly do it again. ciao!

love on the telephone

Posted by jang at 9:01 PM
i am writing this just because i am in love. i am by far amazed by how much our love has gone through despite the time, circumstance and of course - the DISTANCE! we survive with our constant COMMUNICATION, frequent visits and our sweet nothings!

i just got so kilig with his call a while ago. we just talked about nonsensical things to current events for like 25 minutes. and POOF! he said I LOVE YOU. who won't get so kilig over that popular 3-word line?

I LOVE YOU TOO BABY LOVE! aaaw.

shopaholic has her MINI

Posted by jang at 10:39 AM
i am a sucker of Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella. The series gives you a full dose of excitement and laughter. I always have a blast when reading it. Plus, in a very minor way, I could relate with Ms. Becky Bloomwood nee Brandon. I just finished reading Shopaholic Ties the Knot and I'm on to read the Shopaholic and Sister (by the way, I'm done with the last book before these two, haha). I was browsing the National Bookstore yesterday at Robinson's while my eyes caught this - MINI SHOPAHOLIC! I was really ecstatic with Dorz whom I share the same level of ecstasy. Like we won the lotto. We are a fan and a follower of Rebecca-slash-Becky.

So what is this book about? “Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) thought motherhood would be a breeze – but it’s trickier than she thought. Two-year-old Minnie is a little tearaway who has created havoc everywhere from Harrods to Harvey Nicks to her own christening. She hires taxis at random, her favourite word is ‘Mine’, and she already has a penchant for Balenciaga bags. Becky is at her wits’ end.

On top of this, she and Luke are still living with her Mum and Dad, there’s a big financial crisis so everyone’s having to Cut Back – including all her personal shopping clients – and her husband Luke is feeling low after the death of his beloved stepmother. To cheer Luke up, Becky decides to throw him a surprise birthday party – on a budget – and that’s when things become really complicated. As Becky tries to keep the arrangements secret, misunderstandings and excuses sprout everywhere, and soon she’s told so many fibs she can’t keep track of them. Will Becky pull off the surprise? Will Minnie give everything away? Will Minnie’s godparents ever stop arguing? Who will end up on the naughty step and who will get a gold star? And what will happen when Becky discovers Luke is keeping a big secret too?

Wow, I can't wait to get my own copy. It's a must-read. Girlfriends and fellow shopaholics, this one's gonna cheer us up!
